Nancy Gray Cowan was born in St. Louis, MO & lives in Portland, OR with her guy Crispin, 4 cats Nola, & dog Yoshi. She likes to watch movies, paint, & fantasize about being famous when she grows up. (In her spare time, she thought this whole Culture Junkie thing up.) With over 20 years of experience painting with various mediums, from acrylics to roofing tar, she lists cinema, the human form & nighttime as major influences.

Robot Candy Dynamic Duo

Jenny Tiffany & Jenn Hill are the creative geniuses behind Robot Candy. Inspired by mid-century modern design & advertising images of the 50's & 60's, they produce a fabulous mix of smooth housewares. The whole shebang is overseen by Ms Fifi Vanderfluff, resident feline diva, in charge of quality control. Their family also includes Jenn's lovely daughter Jade, Roly (Fifi's less fashionable brother) When they aren't busy making cool stuff, the Robots spend time knitting, taking pictures, playing guitar & DJ-ing. Alice Cowan Natural Born Artist

Alice lives in Collingwood, Ontario with her husband, Stan. She is a talented watercolor artist, finding inspiration in her daily life & surrounding Canadian landscape since the 1950's. She is also a seasoned yard sale expert and all around DIY woman.

Jen hails from Massachusetts & currently resides in Portland, Oregon. She enjoys movies, bicycling, oolong tea & decoupaging neat plates. She's a damn fine Spokesmodel, too.

Jodie was born in Santa Rosa, California in 1980. She graduated a couple of years ago from U.C. Berkeley with a degree in Anthropology, but now she spends all her time thinking about how to mold army men in plastic. JMP spends his time hanging out with his 2 cats & enjoying his hobbies of gaming, biking, & network security. When asked to elaborate, he says slyly, "I 'do' security & 'make' mischief." He finds his inspiration in anything that makes him giggle. His current relationship status is unclear at this time.

She is inspired by Martha Stewart, her Mom & the beauty of the DIY revolution. Kitt also has time to raise to ferocious felines, Kitty Loafa Bread (on a sofa bed) & Spitty Monkey Tu-Tu Butt.

 

Gregory Gray Train Man

Gregory Gray grew up drawing & painting in St. Louis, MO.  He loves steam engines, the outdoors, & jazz; an interesting mix. He currently spends his time painting, working on his train layout, playing with grandkids, & sharing a joke with the Friday Night Boomers.  He was featured in National Model Railroader Magazine's September 2000 issue.

 

Nedra Rezinas

Nedra was born in southern Idaho, but discovered Portland, OR is where she really belongs. She lives here with her husband, dog & 2 newts. She's been heavily influenced by her great grandmother & mother who sew like the wind. When she's not sewing Auggie bags, Nedra loves to bake desserts for friends, go to Naked Ladies Parties & listen to Peter Gabriel.
